By developing the glass electrode 75 years ago, SCHOTT laid the foundation for the success of electrochemical measurement. In 2009 SCHOTT Instruments GmbH was renamed to SI Analytics GmbH. The new name expresses the company's main competence, the realization of analyses. SI stands also for the company's core products: sensors and instruments. These products will continue to be developed and manufactured with the same high quality and innovation from the existing manufacturing site in Mainz.
In 2010 ITT acquired Nova Analytics Co. and integrated it as ITT Analytics into the company. ITT Corporation was a high-technology engineering and manufacturing company operating on all seven continents in three vital markets: water and fluids management, global defense and security, and motion and flow control.
