Synthesis of 7-nitrobenzofurazan (NBD)-labeled maleimide, via Diels-Alder reaction. NBD-Cl is widely used to label peptides, proteins, drugs and other biomolecules. It is also a popular derivatizing reagent for HPLC analysis
