Cyclooctane is used as solvent, reagents and synthetic organic intermediates and it can be used to produce cyclooctanone. It is also used as an intermediate in production of plastics, fibers, adhesives and coatings.

Applications
Cyclooctane is used as solvent, reagents and synthetic organic intermediates and it can be used to produce cyclooctanone. It is also used as an intermediate in production of plastics, fibers, adhesives and coatings.

Solubility
Not miscible or difficult to mix in water.

Notes
Store in cool place. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Containers which are opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. Incompatible with oxidizing agents.
