Beschreibung

The Liebig condenser is suitable for condensing vapours from reaction mixtures (distillation).

The Liebig condenser is one of the best-known types of condenser and is used for distilling reaction mixtures. The condenser is a tube with standard ground ends and a glass jacket. The cooling water is fed through the jacket in counter flow principle to increase the cooling capacity.

  • Relatively small heat exchange surface and thus relatively low cooling capacity
  • Two removable plastic olives for inlet and outlet of the cooling medium
  • Tight closure due to standard ground joint
