Biotinylate reduced cysteines (-SH groups) at high pH with this haloacetyl-activated, sulfhydryl-reactive biotinylation reagent containing polyethylene glycol for solubility.

Thermo Scientific™ EZ-Link Iodoacetyl-PEG2-Biotin is a mid-length, haloacetyl-activated, sulfhydryl-reactive biotinylation reagent that contains a 2-unit ethylene glycol in its spacer arm for increased water-solubility characteristics.

Highlights:

  • Water-soluble, polyethylene glycol (PEG) spacer arm
  • Reacts with sulfhydryl (-SH) groups at basic to neutral pH
  • Coupling reactions occur in the dark
  • PEG spacer arm transfers hydrophilicity to final conjugate
