Applications: Flow Cytometry

APC/Cy7 is a tandem conjugate. In the Lightning-Link APC/Cy7 the tandem is excited at 633nm, wavelength at which the APC has its maximum absorption. The excited APC functions then as an energy donor, where the energy is transferred via FRET (Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer) to the Cy7. The Cy7 emits then the energy received from the APC in the form of long wavelength light at 776nm.
