- For early-stage extraction, filtration of cellular debris, bulk filtration.
- Polypropylene sieve holders (2 piece) holders with an adjustable metal tightener hold BioPrepNylon™ securely when processing samples.
- BioPrepNylon™ is loosely placed in a sieve holder to form a funnel.
- Sample is placed in the funnel, allowed to drain, and the layers of the BioPrepNylon™ are gently pressed together to collect all of the extraction liquid.
- Pure nylon product without detergents, dyes or salts.
- Can be used directly with biological samples.
- Consists of very fine nylon filaments woven into a matrix with 50μm pores.
- Does not wet, allowing significantly greater flow rates and liquid recovery.
- Does not bind proteins, reducing valuable sample loss.
- Compatible with the salts, buffers and solvents used in biological research.
- Can be repeatedly washed and reused
