Oxaliplatin is an anti-tumor agent with activity against colorectal cancer. It shows antitumor activity in cell lines with acquired cisplatin resistance. It is used to treat cancer of the gullet (oesophagus). It is used as adjuvant therapy in patients who have had surgery to remove the cancer. It is used to treat testicular cancer.
