Cultivate a wide variety of organisms with Brain Heart Infusion Agar.

  • Recommended for the isolation if Neisseria gonorrhoeae1.
  • With addition of blood and antibiotics the medium is suitable for the isolation of the tissue phase of Histoplasma capsulatum and other pathogenic fungi including Coccidiodes immitis2, 3.
