Rapidly confirm Legionella pneumophila serogroup 1 from culture by latex agglutination.

The DrySpot Legionella Latex Test is a latex agglutination test for the identification of Legionella species grown on plate media from patients with suspected legionellosis or from environmental sources. The DrySpot Legionella Latex Test allows separate identification of Legionella pneumophila serogroup 1, serogroups 2–14 and seven other Legionella species that have been implicated in human disease.

Use this dry latex agglutination test for the identification of Legionella pneumophila serogroup 1 isolated either from patients with suspected legionellosis or from environmental sources.

Blue latex particles sensitised with specific rabbit antibody are dried onto the test card. These react with Legionella pneumophila serogroup 1 antigen to form agglutination in the test reaction area.

Blue latex particles sensitised with non-reactive rabbit globulins are dried onto the test card to create the control reaction area.
