Crosslink amines to sulfhydryls with this long crosslinker composed of NHS-ester and maleimide groups at ends of a stabilizing cyclohexane-containing, 15-atom spacer arm.

Thermo Scientific™ Pierce LC-SMCC is an amine-to-sulfhydryl crosslinker that contains NHS-ester and maleimide reactive groups at opposite ends of a long cyclohexane-stabilized spacer arm (16.2 Ås)

  • Ideal for coupling enzymes to antibodies as both enzyme activity and antibody specificity can be preserved after coupling
  • Cyclohexane-containing spacer stabilizes the maleimide group
  • Useful for the preparation of stable maleimide-activated proteins
