Pure regenerated natural cellulose membranes with 1kDa to 50kDa MWCO

Pure regenerated natural cellulose membranes with 1kDa to 50kDa MWCO. Transparent and flexible except Spectra/Por™ 5.Low molecular weight compounds in aqueous solutions diffuse through the membrane, higher molecular weights, such as proteins and bacteria, are retained by the membrane. Convenient dispenser boxes protect unused membranes. Glycerol (where used) preserves membrane and must be removed before use. Soak membrane for three hours in deionised water, then rinse well with running water. Spectra/Por™ 5 is reinforced with a layer of porous paper, to give a thick, rigid membrane for use in high shear environments.
  • Spectra/Por™ 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, supplied dry with glycerol
  • Spectra/Por™ 6, pre-wetted supplied in 0.1% sodium azide
  • Spectra/Por™ 7, pre-treated to reduce trace contaminants supplied in 0.1% sodium azide For molecular separation, protein binding studies, electrolyte removal and desalting.
