Standard TLC glass plates coated with a soft layer of unmodified silica gel for analytical and preparative use, available with UV indicators and offered on glass, aluminum, and polyester supports.

  • Broad range of plate sizes, surface coatings, and backings

Absorbent (Silica 60)

  • Specific surface (BET): 500 m2/g
  • Mean pore size: 60 Å
  • Specific pore volume: 0.75 mL/g
  • Particle size: 5 to 17 μm
  • Standard grade

Thickness

  • Analytical plates: 0.25 mm
  • Preparative plates: 0.5 mm and 1 mm
  • 2 mm preparative layers use slightly coarser material

  • Manganese-activated zinc silicate with green fluorescence (short-wave UV, 254 nm)
