MA5-15489 targets R-spondin1 in indirect ELISA, WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples. The MA5-15489 immunogen is purified recombinant fragment of R-spondin1 expressed in E. Coli.. MA5-15489 detects R-spondin1 which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 28.9kDa.
This gene is a member of the R-spondin family and encodes a secreted activator protein with two cystein-rich, furin-like domains and one thrombospondin type 1 domain. In mice, the protein induces the rapid onset of crypt cell proliferation and increases intestinal epithelial healing, providing a protective effect against chemotherapy-induced adverse effects.
