Special Purpose Burets
Used to simultaneously dispense and measure variable amounts of a chemical solution, burets consist of a long, graduated glass tube terminating in a stopcock with a tapered capillary tube. Special purpose burets allow for more exact measurement, from gas burets for use with high sulfur content gas streams to burets for electrometric titration. Burets, which offer greater precision compared to pipettes, are typically graduated, allowing for easier determinations of the volume of liquid dispensed.
