MA5-17123 targets MMP3 in FACS, indirect ELISA, and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples. The MA5-17123 immunogen is purified recombinant fragment of human MMP3 expressed in E. Coli. MA5-17123 detects MMP3 which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 54kDa.
MMP3 (stromelysin-1) belongs to the peptidase M10A subfamily. It is secreted in its pro-protein form, and is activated by extracellular proteinase cleavage. MMP3 is capable of binding to zinc and calcium ions, and has metallo-endopeptidase activity. The active enzyme degrades collagen, gelatin, fibronectin, and laminin.
